Dangerous Liaisons was an unprecedented hit for Lucas Entertainment, generating lots of positive press, in adult entertainment and mainstream alike. During production, 5 cameras generated 60 hours of footage, with only 3 hours making it to the director’s cut double disk. It’s not surprising Lucas has decided to make good use of the remaining 57 hours by producing a behind the scenes documentary.
Studio spokes person Heather Reznor said, “you can’t imagine the stuff we’ve got on there. I am now working with an independent editor, who jogged my memory of all the crazy stories, dramas, and funny incidents that occurred throughout filming this feature.”
The studio says they will try to fit in as much exciting material as possible. Their goal is to keep viewers captivated for an entire hour. The documentary will give people a good idea of what it was like going through production. While sexy at times, the film will be non-sexual. Early plans are for a two-disk set, with the original movie on the second disk. A release date has not been announced.
